Hi there, I’m Emily, your dedicated Meditation Instructor at San Francisco Meditation.

I specialize in helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and sleep issues. Additionally, I focus on addressing productivity challenges, maintaining focus, dietary concerns, and overall health and fitness goals.

My journey into becoming a meditation instructor really started because of some tough times I went through when I was younger.

Despite trying to keep up this image of having it all together, I was really struggling with some heavy feelings.

➔ Every night was a bit of a battle because I’d lie awake, thinking about everything from the day and worrying about what was coming tomorrow. Eventually, when I did manage to doze off, I’d often have these nightmares that left me feeling totally drained and jittery when I woke up.

➔ Dealing with all of that took up a big chunk of my day. I found myself avoiding conversations with family, friends, and even coworkers sometimes, just to steer clear of anything that might make me feel worse.

➔ All that stress and anxiety really took its toll on me. I’d either get super controlling or just shut down completely, which definitely wasn’t great for my relationships.

➔ And to top it all off, I started feeling like I didn’t deserve love or success. It got pretty dark, and I even thought about maybe needing some medication to help me through it.

As time went on, I figured out how crucial it is to find happiness from within. That’s why I started exploring spirituality, especially meditation.

When I stumbled upon the self-reflection meditation method, it was like a lightbulb moment – instant relief and the hope of long-lasting happiness. I decided to give it a shot for a month, and I’m so glad I did! 

Now, 15 years later, I’m bursting with happiness and gratitude. And you know what? I’m super excited to share this amazing journey with others and help them find their own path to lasting fulfillment.

Upon joining the community, you’ll receive an email to schedule your initial 1:1 meditation class with Emily. In the first session, we’ll plan your next two classes and discuss your challenges and goals. Based on our conversation, we’ll create a personalized meditation plan tailored to your needs.

In classes 2 and 3, Emily will guide you through our effective and structured self-reflection meditation method, providing step-by-step instructions for meditation practice.

Throughout these first three classes, you’ll receive valuable tips and tools to help you reduce stress and enhance your overall well-being, including improvements in sleep quality.

By the end of the third class, you’ll be prepared to join our advanced daily live group guided meditation classes, which are available online throughout the day or in-person at specific times on weekdays. 

Additionally, you’ll have weekly 1-on-1 check-ins with Emily to track your progress and address any questions or concerns.

How do I know if your meditation classes are the right investment for me?

I'm concerned about the time commitment required for your meditation classes. How much time do I need to dedicate each week?

Typically, our members spend around 3-5 hours per week. However, we recognize that balancing various commitments can be challenging. Our service is especially designed with flexibility in mind, allowing you to customize your schedule to fit your needs.

Whether you prefer to participate in group meditation classes AND one-on-one classes, or one-on-one classes only, we offer options that can be tailored to your availability.

How can I be sure that your meditation classes will work for me?

We recognize that not all services are created equal, that’s why we’ve put a lot of effort into crafting a service that sets us apart. Our approach is not only rooted in a fully guided simple, step-by-step, systematic self-reflection meditation method, but also has proven to be effective for many of our clients. Additionally, we provide personalized support, guidance, and accountability to help you stay on track and achieve your goals.

I struggle with staying focused and disciplined. Will your service still be effective for me?

Absolutely! We understand that maintaining focus and discipline can be challenging. As a result, our service is designed to provide the support and structure you need to overcome these obstacles. 

Whether you struggle with distractions, self-doubt, or lack of motivation, we provide guidance, encouragement, and accountability to help you stay consistent with your efforts.

I'm concerned that practicing meditation might conflict with my religious beliefs. How can I reconcile this?

It’s natural to have concerns about the compatibility of meditation with your religious beliefs. Therefore, we encourage you to explore the teachings of your faith, and further seek guidance from religious leaders or scholars who can provide insight into how meditation may or may not align with your beliefs. 

We particularly focus on evidence-based meditation practice that have been extensively researched and proven to offer numerous benefits for mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Through our practice, you will not only deepen your spiritual connection, but also increase self-awareness, and foster a sense of inner peace and compassion.

In any event you’re uncomfortable with any aspect of our program, we encourage you to communicate openly. With this in mind, we’re here to listen to your concerns, provide guidance, and offer alternative practices or resources that better align with your religious beliefs and values.

How are payments and refunds managed?

We accept payments for both monthly and annual memberships through cash, Venmo, Zelle, or credit card. While you can still utilize the payment options mentioned earlier, your card details will be retained for any delayed payments.

Given that opting for the annual commitment offers a $600 saving. However, early termination before 12 months incurs a fee.

Lastly, refund requests are evaluated individually and are subject to approval by San Francisco Meditation Center.

Can I put my membership on hold?

Yes, we understand that life can get busy sometimes. Therefore, please let us know how long you’d like to put your membership on hold. We’ll make the necessary arrangements for you accordingly.
