“I started this meditation when I was going through a difficult time in my life. I felt very tense and could not sleep at night. I was able to feel more relaxed as soon as I started practicing this meditation method. Two weeks later, for the first time in many years, I was able to sleep for 7 hours. “I started this meditation method at the main center in South Korea, back in 2017. Since then, I have been continuously meditating remotely with the help of San Francisco Meditation. I started meditating because of my sister’s recommendation for my overall wellbeing. As I continued with this method of self-reflection, I started to become more aware of myself. I realized that my uptight and arrogant personality was the root cause of my emotional distress. I used to hold grudges against others, especially my in-laws so I used to be very distant with them. I used to get sick frequently because I did not know how my body worked.  Before, whenever I received constructive criticism, I used to continue to follow my old patterns… but now, I try my best to view the situation from other persons’ perspective so it’s easier for me to change my behavior. I am now able to empathize with my in-laws. So instead of being distant with them, I am very close to them and I even love them. I understand my husband more. He is my best friend now. I am also able to let go of my ego, so I feel very comfortable emotionally and my mind is very simple now. Easy to access from SF and lots of street parking, this location is ideal for any meditators looking for a supportive community and tailored guidance to help you get to the next level in your meditation journey. Even if you’ve never meditated in your life, you will find an easy-to-follow method that makes meditating so much more approachable. I had tried to meditate on my own for many years before finding this meditation method, and although the free meditation apps helped at the moment, I was never able to make those deep changes I was looking for. When I started with this meditation method, I felt the effects almost overnight. The day after my first session I had so much energy. I remember I showed up for my film class three hours early, bursting with energy, when normally I had to drag myself there. Before this meditation I had so many negative thoughts racing through my head about my classmates and boyfriend and family. It was so draining emotionally and physically, constantly battling with the voice inside my head. Feeling inferior and resentful, and then guilty for even having these thoughts. It felt like I had a Greek drama playing inside my head all the time! After that first session, it was like a huge weight had been lifted off my chest, and since then it’s only gotten better. The more I meditate with this method, the healthier I become, mind and body. I’ve been meditating regularly for the past year and the only time I’ve been sick was during a period when I had stopped meditating. I can see now that my mind is a very powerful tool that either I can harness and use or if left to its own devices will end up using me. I was introduced to this meditation center by a leaflet that showed someone having thousands of thoughts every day. Wait a minute, I thought, I have thousands of thoughts every day, many of them irritating and tiresome and I can’t seem to stop them from coming.

I went to an introductory lecture and have since been hooked. This meditation method helps you to be aware of your thoughts and question them. You become more aware of your mind patterns and motivations. It helps you lower your stress and anxiety levels and thereby helps you deal with difficult situations.

The people who work at the center, known as helpers, are always available to help and encourage you with your meditation. They have helped me get through many difficult times. They are never happier than when welcoming new members and helping them to get started meditating.
